Shakira is releasing a special edition of her newest hit album Loba. What’s the difference between this one, and the one she released earlier this month?
According to our source, this version will include bonus tracks that are available for the first time anywhere all on one disc such as “Give It Up to Me” (which is produced by Timbaland and features rapper Lil Wayne), as well “Did It Again”, her collaboration with another rapper, Kid Cudi, as well as some exclusive live performances.
By the way, this is what Shakira had to say about her new musical direction:
“This was a sonic experimental trip. I wanted to play around with electronica, beats, synthesizers and I began to research folk from other countries looking for new influences that allowed me to combine electronics with world sounds, tambourines, clarinets, oriental and Hindu music, dancehall, etc.”
And looks like the experiment is paying off. The first single “She Wolf” topped charts around the world with nearly a million singles sold in the U.S. and topping the iTunes singles chart. The song and video saw a string of #1’s including #1 on the hot single sales chart, #1 video debut on iTunes and MTV, and #1 video in more than 7 countries across the globe, making it one of the most downloaded videos of the year.

Alessandra Ambrosio was seen at Times Square in New York City. The Brazilian bombshell was in town, along with other Victoria Secret models, to tape the Victoria Secret Fashion show that will air on television December 1st.
Dominican rapper Fabolous turned 31 and his Puerto Rican-Ecuadoran comrade Adrienne Bailon was among the many celebrities who came out to help him celebrate his cumpleaños.
Hot 97 DJ Angie Martinez was there too. I’ve seen her look better than this. Perhaps the photographer got her on a bad angle.

Panamanian mami Tatyana Ali is going to be starring in Buppies, a new webisode series on BET.com.
On the show, Taty is going to be playing a young wealthy socialite by the name of Quinci Allen.
The show promises to be very juicy, as Taty’s character is a recently deceased Hollywood star.
I say bring on the drama. The show airs November 24th, and you can check it out here. And I have to add, that the Latina is doing great things; not only is she starring as an actress, she is also an executive producer of the show, along with Aaliyah Williams and her sister Anastasia Ali.
Latinas are doing it for themselves, thank you very much.

If Los Abrazos Rotos doesn’t turn out to be a runaway hit, don’t blame Penélope Cruz, because the Spaniard has been busting her butt on the promotion trail lately.
Her latest city? New York. Penny showed up, signing autographs, and captivating all who have eyes to see with her gorgeous smile.
And Fergie the 1/18th Mexican was there, looking gorgeous and keeping it positive in spite of all those rumors about her husband of nearly a year Josh Duhamel being unfaithful. CONTINUE READING
According to the New York Daily News, a guest who was at a house party over the weekend thrown by Rihanna, made this observation about the two getting a little chummy at said party:
“No one knew why Tristan was there initially, because it was not an industry party — it was very intimate. But everyone quickly realized they weren’t meeting for the first time, because they were openly affectionate for everyone to see.”
If true, they’d be cute together wouldn’t they?
Now the strange thing about it is that the Dominican papi bears a slight resemblance to Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
Don’t be the rebound man Tristan!
George Lopez is one busy man.
As if his new late night talk show “Lopez Tonight” didn’t keep him busy enough, the funny man is going to be joining stars like Mary J. Blige, eil Diamond, Sugarland, Rob Thomas and Usher for TNT’s Annual Christmas concert.
The First Lady and the president are expected to attend like previous years.

Eiza González is a rare one.
She’s in show business, just for the sake of being in show business.
“No soy ambiciosa, no soy alguien que quiera vender todos los discos, si vendo dos, cinco, o 300 mil copias, que a esa persona le diga algo, es lo más importante para mí.”
“I’m not that ambitious, and I’m not one of those types who want to sell a bunch of records; whether I sell two, five, or 300,000 copies is irrelevant, as long as I get through to my audience. Now that’s the most important factor to me.”
And if you’re a metiche, don’t think that she’s going to give you much material to work with. She told Mexico’s El Informador:
“Será por mi trabajo por lo que hablen, no por si tengo novio o no, o con quién ando.”
“If they’re going to be talking, it’ll be my work that they’ll mention, not whether I have a man or not, or who I’m hanging with.”

Mexico may have suffered from bad publicity this year, but for Puerto Rico is just another matter. That little island and commonwealth has just been selected as the
Of course Puerto Ricans everywhere are ecstatic over this coup.
Here’s what some had to say upon hearing the news:
“My island has always been witness to important musical events and for it to be the location for the 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards brings great pride to our culture.”
- Ricky Martin
Luis Fonsi reacted joyously saying,
“Music and my beautiful Puerto Rico will be the great protagonists of the Billboard Latin Music Awards. I am proud that once again we’ll make history before the world.”
(With his recent separation from Adamari Lopez, this has got to be the best news the Puerto Rican papi has heard all day).
Says Puerto Rican loverboy Chayanne:
“I feel very proud that my island has been selected for the production of the Billboard Latin Music Awards. We’ll try to be the best hosts so that artists, as well as the industry and the media alike feel right at home in Puerto Rico. We want to present a show like no other, in tune with the music we represent.”
Puerto Rican celebs aren’t the only ones who marvelled at the good news; other Latino celebs joined in, among them Mexico’s La Chica Dorada Paulina Rubio, who let out this statement:
“I think it’s an inspiring decision that the Billboard Latin Music Awards is celebrated in the island. I plan to be there. Puerto Rico - I love you!”
And Colombian rocker Juanes:
“I celebrate with great joy the fact that Puerto Rico will be the location for the Billboard Latin Music Awards; all the music in the region, in the island of music. Go Puerto Rico!”
“It’s great that the awards will take place in Puerto Rico! Puerto Rico is a marvelous land, full of hospitality, happiness, and great music. It’s the Pearl of the Caribbean; it’s always great to visit there and they always welcome us in an incredible manner! Congratulations.” - Alejandro Fernandez
“In my career, Puerto Rico and Billboard have been two very important pillars; now for the first time they join in the production of such prestigious awards for Latin music. The best wishes for April of this year” - Myriam Hernandez
Boricuas, stand up!
