America Ferrera to Star in ‘Tragic’
America Ferrera doesn’t know when to stop, and she shouldn’t. She’s going to be starring in a movie co-produced by Y Tu Mamá También producer Sergio Aguero.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jeff Gonzalez of Maya Entertainment, the originators of the script that centers on the lives of people after the Iraq war, described how the film role landed on America’s lap:
“When our production team (and) Heather described the film and told me America was on board, it took us all of one day to fast track the film into development and pre-production,” said Maya COO Jeff Gonzalez.
America knows a good project when she sees one, alright.
It’s the second movie that America will be executive producing over her production company Take Fountain Productions banner behind How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer.
