Book Contest: Win The New Spanish Table Cookbook for Your Kitchen
I told you we were going to have another contest soon. This time three winners are going to nab a copy of The New Spanish Table by celebrated cook Anya von Bremzen (Workman Publishing).
One of the remakable things about this cookbook is that in addition to countless recipes, there are countless sidebars that expound on the recipes. The recipes as in a hefty 300 recipes that make up the book, meaning that basically there’s one for every day of the year, and space for five others that you might want to repeat.
Spanish cuisine has this reputation of being antiquated cuisine, and that’s one of the myths that von Bremzen tries to break with this wonderful cookbook that exposes cooks to modern aspects of Spain. So get in touch with the latter-day gastronomic delights of Spain by entering this contest.
1) Answer the question: what country would you like to visit for a culinary odyssey of some sort?
2) Once done, RT on Twitter about the contest, and include a link to this post on your Tweet.
Winners (picked randomly) will be announced on Monday! If you’re a winner, and you don’t get back to me within the next 24 hours of being advised that you are a winner, the prize will go to someone else!

I want to eat a mortadella sandwich! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3540/3509563592_818b1d6238.jpg The sandwich is made from nearly a half of a pound of mortadella sausage, provolone cheese, sourdough bread, mayonnaise and dijon mustard. It sounds a little iffy but loooks yummy
2. I tweeted it!

Comment made on June 16, 2009 at 4:43 pmI’ve been to most of the places you’r normally think of as a culinary destination (France, Italy, etc.) I’d like to go to China to sample some “real” Chinese cuisine. I knew someone once who’d lived there and raised her family there. She cooked us a Chinese meal a couple of times and it was “interesting”!
