Castro’s Daughter Gets Her Own Tell-All Movie
First Jennifer Lopez is being threatened to be exposed by her ex-husband Ojani Noa, and now Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s love child Alina Fernandez is about to have a movie out too.
But unlike Jennifer’s movie, the greenlight has already been given to the Castro movie, and it’s to be called, appropriately Castro’s Daughter.
And it’s not going to be any cheap production either, from what we’ve learned. Bobby Moresco, the Latino producer behind such Oscar-winning films as Crash, Million Dollar Baby is going to be helming the movie, in addition to co-writing the screenplay (with Nilo Cruz of Anna of the Tropics fame) based on the book of the same name.
This ought to be exciting. Alina Fernandez is after all the love child Fidelito had with Naty Revuelta, some Cuban socialite, and Alina ended up leaving Cuba disguised as a Spanish tourist, despite the fact that her father had forbidden her from leaving La Isla.
No word yet on who will play Castro, but do you think Benicio del Toro would be good since he played Che. Or perhaps Luis Guzman? William Morris Endeavor Entertainment and Artists Relations Group are the ones packaging the whole thing together, and we know they have a hefty stable of Latino talent.
