I bet you didn’t think Cristina Saralegui and Eva Mendes had anything else in common besides their fame and Cuban heritage, but the two Latinas also have another thing in common: their side hustles!

If you will recall, dear lectores, Eva Mendes’s Vida Bedding collection launched in Macy’s stores last summer, and Cristina Saralegui’s Casa Cristina has been expanded to include a home furnishings collection that includes drapes, among other things, and of course bedding!
This is a sample from Cristina’s Tesoro and Condesa collection….sold at Kohl’s…

Another…

And from Eva’s Vida collection… CONTINUE READING

Wow! This is easily one of Eva Mendes’ most spectacular magazine covers. Just look at that Cuban siren!
She tells the magazine:
No me siento perfecta para nada. Por eso muchas mujeres se pueden identificar conmigo.
I don’t feel like I’m perfect all. That’s probably why so many women can identify with me.
It’s almost comforting to read this.

Lots of Hollywood actresses save their role explorations for roles of Oscar-caliber. Not our Cubanita Eva Mendes.
As a cast member of the film Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call, she decided to go the extra mile to add some authenticity to her part as the call girl Frankie Donnenfeldin in the Werner Herzog film.
In an interview, the Cuban siren said,
“I met with call girls, the type who met clients in grand apartments. I learned quite a bit.”
How’s that for research?

Will Eva ever get tired of blowing us kisses? Most likely not.

Her dress is impeccable this time, not like that other time when she seemed like she had squeezed into her outfit.

We say experiment, because we were trying to find the best words to break this to you dear readers.

Eva’s hair was up to par, and those earrings were dazzling, but that dress she was wearing was another matter.

It’s not like Eva to wear something that doesn’t bring out her best features.
I like the sequins, but the dress just doesn’t do her body justice. It looks too small like it was fitted on some anorexic mannequin.
First it was Zoe, now Eva; what’s happening today?

Normally I can’t stand sequins in any shape or form, although my abuela swears by them. But doesn’t this dress look rather elegant on Eva Mendes at the AFI Fest screening of Bad Lieutenant.
That Catholic church interior decor look to it, even looks quite glamorous on Eva.

You’ve never seen her look lovelier, or have you?

Latin celebrity chef Ingrid Hoffman and Poder magazine editor Nicolas Ibarguen were at the Gotham Steak del Hotel Fontainebleau in Miami, along with their gringo colleagues Marcy Rudershausen of the and Ricky Arriola, of Inktel Direct for the Johnny Black Label celebration.
With all the food Ingrid be whipping, I’m surprised she’s not a little plumper. I really line that parka she’s wearing.

Is she like the most glamorous cook you’ve seen of late?
And we got a few more photos from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event party that went on the other night, in addition to the ones we’ve already show you:
And they include our favorite Mexican Jessica Alba, and the amply-endowed Cuban Eva Mendes.

What a nice hug. Somebody please cast them in a movie together, in which they play sisters, perhaps…quick.

Are your eyes brimming with tears of joy yet, from this big display of the Latina sisterhood?
