Hissip is your source for Latino music too, so here’s what’s happening music-wise among tu gente, ya’ll.
Argentine musician dubbed the “human loop guru” by Remix magazine Juana Molina was interviewed by staff writer Ken Micallef. For those not familiar with her music, here’s a breakdown of her style:
“Molina’s music is both organic, with its warm instrumental textures; and electronic, through her inclusion of barely assisted live-loop machinations. On one song you’ll think she’s chosen some preset, and on the next you ralize she’s beating mad hypnotic flow on the Argentinean bombo leguero.”
Her fifth album Un Dia was released last month, so go and cop it Hissipers.
Also Curumin’s album Japanpopshow released this past Spring is being re-issued by Adrenaline records.
