She may have been born in the Bronx, but her heart is in Puerto Rico, and she’s a true island girl. How happy are we that Yeni is using her celebrity for a good cause. And you thought she only thought of herself! (If you look closely, you’ll see it’s Ben Medina, Yeni’s manager behind her in the photo, looking rather pensive. This man follows Yeni everywhere, it seems. His devotion is immeasurable. I hope he gets more than 15% of her earnings. He follows her like a shadow!)

One thing about our chica Nicole Richie is that she’s left partying behind for some serious business, like her jewelry line 1960 Jewelry collection that has officially hit the streets.
Nicole joins a long list of fab chicas with Latino roots who’s getting their entrepreneurship on.We already know that Thalia can really hold it down, as can Me!Me! and of course our girl Shakira, and even Alicia Machado. And I know I don’t need to tell you about Yeni. Need I name them all?
Since Nicole and her man Joel Madden are going to be parents for the second time, you probably can expect the next expansion in her fashion empire to be a baby clothes line. Don’t say I didn’t tell you. Latinas are doing it for themselves, thank you very much.
