Lala Vazquez is making wedding plans, migente. After delivering one adorable little Kiyan for her fellow Puerto Rican Carmelo Anthony, she’s ready to look at herself in the mirror and say, “Farewell to thee, concubine”, while turning to another mirror, and putting her veil on, and whispering, “Hello, legal and domesticated, and tender wife.” This is what she told blogger Onetta Bellamy in an interview:

“I honestly don’t have many details yet. I always get asked the question about marriage and being engaged for so long. My answer to that is it has worked this way for us. I’m not saying this is the way for everyone, but we have moved at our own speed and it has worked. People tend to believe since we’ve been engaged for so long that something is up, we are not happy, or my all time favorite one, “he’s never gonna marry her!”

Does being married automatically mean two people are happy? Mel and I took the time out to get to know each other, inside and out. We took time to learn about our likes and our dislikes. After having our son, we both feel ready to take that step. It’s very important to us and it’s the example we want to set for our son. Although everyone may not agree, I’m glad we did it this way.”

But hey, at least Lala will say her “I” do one of these days. She’ll make one of the prettiest athlete brides ever, with those feline eyes of hers.

Some busybody told the New York Daily News that Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz are engaged to be married!

We hope this isn’t going to be another one of those long-term engagements, because Javier and Penny sure do make a great couple.

So this must mean that Penélope has finally gotten over her marriage phobia!

Some women love dogs, and not just as pets either. A perfect example of this is the lovely Mexicana Aracely Arámbula who first started as singer Luis Miguel’s baby mama, and graduated to wifey status.

But pobrecita! Luis Miguel has Oedipus complex issues, and has been confirmed to have a wandering eye, but that didn’t stop Aracely from having a second child for him.

Last month, Genoveva Casanova was seen in Italy with Luis Miguel, but, er, they just happened to be at the same hotel. They’re not having a romance at all.

And this week the actress and former beauty queen Luz Elena González admits that she had a romance with him, while he was with Aracely.

When will this girl say enough is enough?

Part of me thinks Luis Miguel is acting out his feelings of impotence. He’s never wanted Aracely to work, and recently she receive millions to return to Latin telenovelas.

Is this a case of a Latino man carrying out subtle revenge on his wife who doesn’t play by tradition of letting the man solely be the breadwinner?

But, no. I think LuisMi is truly a dog. No economic excuses. I hope that one day Aracely sees the light. There’s plenty of men out there who will know how to treat La Chule.

I fear for Lucero’s marriage with her husband of twelve years Manuel Mijares. How many times this year have we heard that she’s heading for divorce. Yes, I’ve lost count too.

Now the haters are pointing at the fact that Lucero went to Europe on a solo trip recently after wrapping up production on her telenovela Mañana Es Para Siempre as an example of her alleged estrangement from Manuel.

Hey, everybody needs a vacation? But away from one’s family after staying away from them for so long due to filming a telenovela?

Is this another example of that love song where it’s said that even lovers need a holiday from each other, or is is love undone for our Mexican diva and her Principe Azul?

All evidence seems to be pointing that way. Mr. Soto was spotted with a hot blonde on a beach in the Dominican Republic. Claro, Geraldine is a blonde as well, but the rubia that Gabrielito was frolicking with on that beach was apparently not her.

It would be sad if it were true. The two just had a little girl Elisa Marie not too long ago.

Kate del Castillo and Aarón Díaz are going to be joined in holy matrimony, not in one but two ceremonies to take place in Mexico City and Los Angeles.

I bet Kate’s dad is really happy about this news. The untactful father has spoken in the past about his fear that Kate would become an old maid.

What a year it has been for Kate! First, that prestigious and lucrative L’Oreal contract and now this!

Word on the calle is that Kate Hudson is desperate to have Alex Rodriguez’s baby. A source revealed:

“Kate just turned 30 and she’s ready to have her second child. She wants Ryder to have a sibling, so she brought up the idea to Alex and told him that they would make a beautiful baby together, and that she would assume all financial responsibility.”

I don’t know about that Katie. Do you want to be another one of A-Rod’s baby mamas? You would assume all financial responsibility? Are you prepared to provide emotional stability too to this child too?

And chica, have you ever thought about his track record? Uh, okay.

Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias are a couple difficult to figure out. At one point, Anna was basically acting like she was in a relationship with Enrique to pass the time.

Now, she’s singing a different song, telling the media.

“I would like to have kids, but years from now. I’m only 28 and there are still things I want to do first.”

She felt extra good about their relationship saying:

“We have a mutual respect. We’re both very independent but we try not to go too long without seeing each other. When he’s away I miss his humour. He’s a complete joker. He knows how to make fun of himself, which is very cool.”

Cool enough for marriage, we know!

Word on the street is that the lovely and very much single Bárbara Mori has been spending some time with Alexander Acha. A little too much we think.

According to a source quoted in the newspaper El Mañana,

“Ellos coincidieron en una fiesta privada, de un amigo en común, y se la pasaron muy bien, platicando y riéndose.”

A gorgeous actress and a handsome singer who sings romantic ballads are seen together. What are we suppose to think?

Has our Barbarita finally met the man of her dreams after that painful breakup with her longtime love José María Torre, alias Chema? Or is this just another unfounded rumor? We shall see!

It has been some time since Mario Cimarro’s marriage with fellow actor Natalia Streignard ended in divorce.

But you better believe that Mario has not been moping around. His girl of the moment? The actress Vanessa Villela, you may remember her as one of his co-stars in El Cuerpo del Deseo. She’s the one who played Don Pedro’s rebellious daughter on the show.

The intensely private actor doesn’t talk much about his private life (we already know all we need to know anyway), but admits that yes, they are a romantic couple.

They’ve actually performed together in Mexico in support of Mario’s musical album.
