Irma Dimas is one of El Salvador’s most well-known beauties.

Benjamin Bratt and his lovely esposa, actress Talia Soto were looking quite good at the 24th Annual IMAGEN Awards in Beverly Hills. With all these Latino celebrity couples, breaking up, it’s good to see these two holding fast to holy matrimony.

Director Spike Lee had a tribute show in honor of El Rey del Pop and Rosie Perez was among the celebrities who attended. Isn’t Rosie in her forties? Every time I see this chica, she looks 5 years younger. Go Rosie, with those good genes.
Jessica Alba was spotted with her daughter Honor Marie Cash.

I fear for Lucero’s marriage with her husband of twelve years Manuel Mijares. How many times this year have we heard that she’s heading for divorce. Yes, I’ve lost count too.
Now the haters are pointing at the fact that Lucero went to Europe on a solo trip recently after wrapping up production on her telenovela Mañana Es Para Siempre as an example of her alleged estrangement from Manuel.
Hey, everybody needs a vacation? But away from one’s family after staying away from them for so long due to filming a telenovela?
Is this another example of that love song where it’s said that even lovers need a holiday from each other, or is is love undone for our Mexican diva and her Principe Azul?

All evidence seems to be pointing that way. Mr. Soto was spotted with a hot blonde on a beach in the Dominican Republic. Claro, Geraldine is a blonde as well, but the rubia that Gabrielito was frolicking with on that beach was apparently not her.
But is he a cheater?
It would be sad if it were true. The two just had a little girl Elisa Marie not too long ago.
How terrible it would be for little Elisa Marie to grow up in a broken home! Pobrecita.

Yes, our Mexican diva turned 40. In 1969 on August 29th (yesterday), Lucero León and Antonio Hogaza produced a beautiful little girl who became a superstar and they named her Lucero.
How original!
Isn’t it interesting that she and Michael Jackson were born on the same day, 11 years apart!

Michael Jackson performed in Mexico back in 1992 during his Dangerous tour; so Mexicans decided to do a payback of some sort. Over 13,000 of them gathered in Monterrey to pay tribute to El Rey del Pop. Watch it below.

George Lopez hung out with his buddy and fellow Hollywoodite Ashton Kutcher.

We knew he loved golfing, but who knew that G.Lo was also into fishing?

Yes, the 2009 Miss Universe pageant is over, but we can’t help but give you one last look at some of these beautiful Latinas who were contenders in the contest. You’ve already met Miss Puerto Rico, and Miss Venezuela, but…
Miss Bolivia Dominique Peltier shows off her outfit during the national wear segment of the Miss Universe 2009.
And look who else is here? None other than Sandra Vinces, the 2009 Miss Ecuador Universe.

Miss Colombia Michelle Rouillard is not about to be left out of the belleza sweepstakes.

And Miss Argentina Joy Lasic…with her beautiful self.
Jessica Umana was the 2009 Miss Costa Rica Miss Universe contender.

And Ada Aimee, who ended up being a runner-up in the contest, behind the eventual winner Miss Venezuela.
Finally, we’re closing off with Miss Brazil Universe.
Her name is Larissa Costa. Alright, my pretties!

The leggy Brazilian made an appearance in Mexico City at Fashion Fest.

Just beautiful!

Okay, we’ve gotten a little dose of Latin romance from one of the last entries in the Latino Book Club. But how about total romance? It comes in the form of Bonnie Matta’s Latino romance novel Faith. The protagonist the virginal, prudish Tejana Tatiana Madrigal, is a devoted Catholic Latina, who is a florist (a more romantic occupation, she couldn’t have had; a bookseller is the runner-up).
Up and away comes her Principe Azul, the ultra-masculine Manolo Guerra, a coffee plant businessman who is one of those dashing and debonair papi chulos Tatiana would probably have been warned about if her home education was anything other than catechism.
Now comes the hard part, who’s going to pull who in? Will Manolo become a monk to join Tatiana’s world, or will Tatiana have an explosive transformation into an irresistible vamp and make an entry in Manolo’s privileged and depraved world. Or can they meet somewhere in the middle.
Of Virgins and Latinos, and Romance.
Titilating isn’t it?
