El Rostro de Analía Making it Scorching Hot on Telemundo
Telemundo sure knows how to make it hot! If it’s been playing second fiddle to Univision, it won’t anymore!
First, it made many a Latinas evenings hot with the ever-so salacious Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso, now the flame is more than scorching with El Rostro de Analía.
Second episode into it, and all we’ve got to say is, “Bellisima”. The telenovela has all the elements of a hit telenovela. Some major glatinas, including Gaby Espino (who unfortunately died off in the first episode; er, sorry for the spoiler, but you deserve it if you didn’t watch the first episode!) are there with their fabulissima selves. Not to mention papa chulo Martín Karpán, who plays Daniel a bad, cheating husband who changes for the better.
El Rostro de Analía is full of what really matters in a decent telenovela: Some really great wardrobe! I know some of ya’ll were really digging Elizabeth’s knee-high boots in the first episode, those chandelier earrings! I know I was! Can’t wait to see more of her wardrobe on the show.
Anyway, the telenovela is quite interesting. And like Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso, I know it’s a telenovela I’ll be watching to the end. I usually know these things from the first episode, you know….whether it’s worth it to stick around.
Anyway back to El Rostro de Analía…It’s about this wonderful, self-denying career woman (don’t these traits always seem to apply to these telenovela heroine/victims?) Marianna Andrade Montiel, who swears she has the perfect life. Yeah, she swears; but pobrecita. Her man Daniel is cheating on her with her own cousin Sara[Maritza Rodríguez] (who secretly wants to take over the company for which Mariana is the CEO).
The man who really loved her lost her to his no good brother (Daniel), who of course ends up marrying her. Sara, Marianna’s cousin has ties to a mafia head Montana (Gabriel Porras). Montana, the mafia head who sees Mariana as an obstacle to his plans, sends (his lover) a stripper Analía Moncada to murder Mariana, but they end up getting into a car accident, in which the car falls off on a cliff.
Two scientists recover Mariana’s body, and finding a purse containing Analía’s photo I.D. (how convenient) and actual photo, they reconstruct Mariana’s face using Analía’s face as a guide.
Can’t wait to see more episodes of this buenisima . It comes up on Telemundo at 9 P.M. the perfect entrée to Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso.

Comment made on October 23, 2008 at 6:31 pmI go back and forth between novelas on Univision and Telemundo (cause I can only have one addiction at a time!) but my dish doesn’t carry Telemundo but does all the Univision channels. I miss my Telemudo it was Univision….but ghetto! lol!
