Eva Mendes is a Frugalista
Eva Mendes told the UK edition of Cosmopolitan magazine:
“I’m not a spender or a shopper. I don’t find pleasure in being frivolous with money. In fact, I find it uncomfortable.”
Now aren’t you glad to know this? Now you know that Ms. Eva Mendes is, gasp, just like the rest of us. Or most of us.
I think Eva is still affected by her early life as a struggling actress. At one point she told Interview magazine:
“I used to love fast food because I had no money, and I was a struggling actor. You know the story, when you’re literally hustling. You’re going from audition to audition, changing in the back seat, and all that fun stuff that’s great to do at one time in your life. That’s when the 49-cent taco, as disgusting as it is, really plays into your day. It really helps you out. There was a time in my life where it really helped me, and it fed me.”
But looks like she got affected from growing up in a family where money was tight, but she contends it was all for the best.
“I wouldn’t change my upbringing. It’s given me great values towards money and has made me really appreciate everything I have.”
Well Eva is a true diva on a budget. I think we can all learn from her. Once you start earning major dough, the thing is to not go haywire with the spending, but to live the way you did when you were a pobreton.
