Gabriel Porras: “I Was a Dog”
It’s always refreshing when a member of the male species admits wrongdoing. El Rostro de Analia star Gabriel Porras was man enough to admit his many mistakes over the years to the magazine TV Y Novelas:
He admitted to cheating on his girl Liz Gallardo with Itati Cantoral, who at the time was separated from Eduardo Santamarina:
“Si, fue triste y malo de mi parte el no haber terminado bien con Liz y comenzar algo con otra mujer. Mi error fue no tener el valor de decirle: ‘Esto se acabo’. Es lo unico de lo que me arrepiento.”
“Yes, it was sad and crappy on my part not to have ended my relationship with Liz before starting another relationship with someone else. My mistake was not being man enough to tell her, ‘It’s over’. It’s the only regret I have.”
Whether he’s directly apologized to the ladies remains vague. When he was asked by interviewer Orlando Segura if he had tried to reach out to Itati Cantoral after the birth of her baby, he said,
“No, creo que es mejor estar alejados. Estoy seguro de que ella ahora tiene una vida bonita. Le deseo todo lo mejor.”
“No. I think it’s best to be estranged. I’m confident that she has a beautiful life right now. I wish her nothing but the best.”
The actor, a dog no more (or so we hope), is now the amoroso of his Olividate Jamas co-star Sonya Smith.
