Latino Ballers: Javier Bardem in a New Role/J.Lo Signs Deal/William Levy Has a New Scent
For those of you ladies who can’t wait to see unpretty papa chulo Javier Bardem in something else other than Vicky Barcelona, you’ll get your opportunidad very soon. Javiercito has signed on to be in the movie Biutiful, and naw it ain’t a typo.
The gente at The Hollywood Reporter stated:
The film is Gonzalez Inarritu’s first project without his regular scriptwriter, Guillermo Arriaga. The director wrote the Spanish-language “Biutiful” script with Armando Bo and Nicolas Giacobone. Arriaga and Gonzalez Inarritu made waves with their first hit, “Amores Perros,” in 2000 and then followed up with English-language hits “21 Grams” and “Babel” to form a much-acclaimed trilogy.”Bardem, hot off Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” in which he starred opposite Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johannsson, will play a man searching for balance and his children’s safety after a broken love affair.
Sounds like the elements of an Oscar winning movie and performance to me. Goodness knows he can deliver the thespian goods.
J.Lo continues to amaze with her business acumen, ya’ll. Her production company Nyorican Productions, which she runs with her socio Simon Fields, just signed a deal with NBC Entertainment/Universal Studios to produce a string of TV projects, following after establishing somewhat of a track record with Como Ama Una Mujer and the Disney project Amigas.
I am so late in learning that William Levy will be launching his own perfume.
If it smells anything like his aura, it ought to be be a hit in the fragrance market.
