Latino Music News: Eiza González + Victor Manuelle + Alex Cuba
Eiza González star of Lola érase una vez is going to be releasing a solo album this month. Our sources tell us it’s called Contracorriente, and that she’s already filming the video for the first single Mi Destino Soy Yo.

Agua Del Pozo is the newest musical offering from Latin artist Alex Cuba and is the follow-up to the arresting Humo de Tabaco. They say musical talent gets diluted with each generation, but it’s apparent that not only is Alex’s style not diluted, but also that he’s clearly establishing a musical identity apart from his famous and legendary Cuban father Valentin Puentes.
Victor Manuelle’s newst CD Yo Mismo is on sale now. I can’t help but admire the cover art, which is meant to look like a magazine cover. I love the use of gray and the lettering style.
Victor Manuelle is one of those artists who are great to listen to; matters not what he’s singing. “Lo Que Me Hiciste” has Jorge Celedon and Jimmy Zambrano as his guest stars. The album is full of smooth ballads, like Me “Corta El Alma” and “Donde Iras”. You will probably come to the conclusion that it’s somewhat better than Muy Personal, his other disc released earlier this year.
That’s it for this week’s edition of Latino Music News.
