Latino Music News: Hip Hop Goes Brazilian (see the video) + Thalia’s Primera Fila
So, Thalia’s latest album Primera Fila is out. But is this a bland cover, or what? Yes, the album is more like a tribute album, and not an album of original material, but the cover art is not too marketing-friendly is it? It doesn’t catch the eye at all.
Let’s look on the bright side. She makes a great team with Joan Sebastian on the song “Con la Duda”, and her collaboration with Camila musician Mario Domm on the song “Equivocada” captures all the glory of Thalia’s voice.
No one can really touch Juan Luis Guerra singing “Cuando Te Beso”, but I give her a thumbs up for trying. Other highlights include “Qué Será De Ti” and “Enséñame A Vivir”.
Sooner or later, Brazil’s carioca style of music was bound to get some followers, and Brazilian artists Mulher Filé and Brazilian music legend Mr. Castra are helping things along.
Check out the video below of those two artists and their collaboration with rapper Lil Jon
