Latino Music News: Vicente Fernández + Shaila Dúrcal + ISA (TKM) Music +
Vicente Fernández truly has a lovely voice; I don’t care how old and how young you are. This man’s voice is truly golden and I just cannot get enough of it. Necesito de Ti is his latest opus.
You can hear some samples from the album here.
What else is noteworthy? The ISA TKM telenovela is a phenomenon, so it really comes as no surprise that Sony International decided to release a CD consisting of a bunch of songs from the show’s soundtrack.
The soundtrack is what a Latin American teen’s life is made of: Te “Habla Mi Corazón”, “Nada Puede Más”, not to mention the cynical “Amigas Como Tú”.
It seems as if it was only yesterday that Shaila Dúrcal had released her previous album Tanto Amor, but she is back with a new album she has entitled Corazón Ranchero. Unlike the Tanto Amor album and Recordando, another one of her releases, this album showcases a more mature Shaila.
It’s not of original material however, just some tribute songs to the ranchero genre. She’s very bold in her musical approach, I should say, taking on everyone from Javier Solis to Juan Gabriel to Vicente Fernández himself. Among the many highlights of this hommage to la música ranchera are the songs “Y Llegaste Tú” and “Tu Infame Engaño”.
She’s not the daughter of Rocío Dúrcal for nothing folks!
