Penélope Cruz the Green Latina
Latino celebs are very much into the green movement, if you didn’t notice. Our boy José Gonzalez is into the movement. And we’ve heard of how our girl Penélope Cruz being one of the top dawg at the pre-Oscar green party.
But we’ve gotten further evidence that she gets her green on, on the regular, not just because it’s the trendy thing to do. Our lovely Spaniard traded in all her blinglicioso rides for a more environmentally friendly Toyota Prius. She told the London Sunday Times:
“I think it is very good for all of us to have a hybrid car,” she says. “It is too selfish to have something that uses too much fuel or makes a mess of the atmosphere. I like cars. I enjoy their speed and their power, but I do not want to be trapped by them any more.”
Unlike some people, Penny takes this eco-conscious stuff to heart, and the Earth will be lovelier for it.
