Rare Michael Jackson Photos with Latino Celebrities
Okay, let’s face it, and let’s be honest with ourselves. So many Latino artists have been influenced by Michael Jackson, as seen by this post.
So, as a continued tribute to Michael, check out these fabulous pics of El Rey del Pop with some Latino celebrity heavyweights.
This is El Rey with Latino 80s boy band Menudo, including a young Ricky Martin. [Thanks for setting me straight readers]
[update] Ricky Martin is shown here with Mike.
[update] After his death, this photo emerged of Bárbara Mori with Michael in Las Vegas together.
She told People en Español,
“Me pareció una persona tan amable, tan dulce… fue único e irrepetible, su música logró unir a los blancos con la gente de color, a los asiáticos y a los latinos por igual.”
Ricky of course, let his feelings be known about his one-time musical idol, saying:
“Estoy muy triste. Nadie lo podrá reemplazar. Pero se que la luz que nos regaló en los escenarios seguirá iluminando a todos aquellos que lo tomamos como lo que fue y siempre será, un gran maestro, pura inspiración musical.”
Oh, and with Rush Hour director and Cuban-Jew Brett Ratner.
Ooh, and look at MJ with your favorite Venezuelan diva, Mariah Carey and non-Latino Usher.

Comment made on July 1, 2009 at 6:23 amHi, I got this as a google alert for Ricky Martin, but unfortunately in the picture you posted, Ricky Martin is not in that photo. That is before he was in Menudo. That picture has to be at least ‘83 and Ricky went to Menudo in 1984. Robi Draco Rosa is a big Latin star though as well and is pictured in your above photo. Anyways, nice pictures anyways, nice post
p.s Usher is actually Latin, he is Panamanian. His mother is panamanian.
