Sessilee Lopez on Hardships
Sessilee Lopez is definitely one of the it-girl models of the moment. But it wasn’t always that way. At one point, the now 20-year old Dominican/Cuban was kicked to curb by her modeling agency IMG, and boy was that a big blow. She told it like it was in a Vibe magazine interview:
“I wasn’t so religious, bu there were times when I was lost and didn’t have anywhere to go but Him.”
And looks like her prayers and perseverance paid off, because right now this chica has regained her footing in the world of modelaje coming up as one of the best in the modeling game.
And one Kanye West music video later, a Victoria Secret show, Zac Posen etc trunk shows, magazine covers, I bet the powers that be at IMG are really regretting her. I bet they really feel stupid. Oh, well for them.

Comment made on February 27, 2009 at 9:26 amI modeled in Los Angeles a few years ago while I was attending UCLA and let me tell you it’s vicious out there and this wasn’t the big time either (and it was part-time!)so I definitely can imagine what Sessilee went thru.
