There’s something about Penélope Cruz. But what is it about her? Could it be her Spanish charm? Everyone wants to work with her. Everyone who works with her wants to work with her again. Like Johnny Depp, who’s going to be paired with the actress for the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Penny and Johnny first worked together in the 2001 Ted Demme movie Blows [whoops, thanks reader DHL], in which Penélope played the character of Mirtha Jung, wife of George Jung, the 1970s cocaine king.

Johnny told a German magazine that he’s been looking forward to working with Penelope again, and praised her professionalism and great sense of humor.

Penny is going to be playing the love interest of Jack Sparrow, so this should be very interesting.
