Telenovela News: Natalia Esperón and Erik Elías in En Nombre del Amor
I realize that you all are still giddy over the news that Victor Noriega is going to be on Cuidado con el ángel but I want to be the bearer of more good news. Erik Elías and Natalia Esperón are going to be in a telenovela together.
I wish they could be playing main roles especially since Natalia hasn’t really had some decent, plumpy papel since Por Un Beso, (oh heck no, that mess of a role she had in La Esposa Virgen doesn’t count) but hey!
The actors are coming aboard En Nombre del Amor, according to Quien. Natalia is not going to be playing a victim like she did in Rencor Apasionado. She told Mezcalent:
“Como actriz quiero hacer todo tipo de personajes y no quedarme como la heroína que sufre. Ahora es una chava que ve la vida positiva que es feliz y que le quiere dar esa felicidad a los demás”.
As an actress, I want to do all kinds of different characters, and don’t want to end up being the long-suffering heroine over and over. This time around I play a female who has a really upbeat life, who’s really happy, and wants to spread this to others.”
Yep, there’s nothing pretty about being a victim over and over. But then, that’s how some people make a career.
