Who’s Afraid of Marriage? Penelope Cruz, Maybe…
While her amijita Salma Hayek recently reconciled with her novio Francois-Henri Periault and may be on the way down the aisle, it’s a whole different story for Penelope Cruz, and steady papa chulo Javier Bardem.
Her brother Eduardo Cruz told a British newspaer this tidbit:
“She seems happy and very together (with Bardem),” the ‘Telegraph’ quoted Mr Cruz, as saying in an interview with Spanish magazine ”Lecturas” to promote his debut album. But he said his sister was wary of getting married after witnessing their parents’ messy divorce. “I overcame it but it still affects Penelope strongly so the concept of marriage is perhaps hard for her,” he said.
An aside: Why do relatives promoting albums always have to give out chismes on more famous siblings?
It’s probably unlikely, if one takes the words of Salma’s own brother without a grain of salt, that she and Javier will go beyond cohabitation commitment.

And if they do get married are they still going to avoid being seen or photographed together? That seems a little strange and she seems very spoiled! Good luck to Javier,I think he needs it!
